ROLE 1.

The Core Platform ServiceNow team look after the underlaying ServiceNow platform across the organisation and all activity that takes place across all Project and Business Teams.

The ServiceNow Platform Developer plays a critical role in the design, development, and management of ServiceNow solutions within an organization. This individual is responsible for driving the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow applications to meet business needs efficiently. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and ensure that ServiceNow solutions align with best practices and industry standards.

A number of key activities within the Platform Team need driving and delivering into the platform and organisation. These include

1) Licence optimisation to reduce cost and platform effectiveness
2) Implementing Healthscan and other industry based improvements to the platform
3) Improvement of existing integrations in the platform
4) Scoping and adopting the enablement of business teams to configure/customise the platform along with the necessary development and governance required

Other activities may require support in the coming months so the candidate will need to be flexible and comfortable with a dynamic workload and priorities

ServiceNow Development - Lead the development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications and modules, including CSM, ITSM, GRC, SECOPS, FSM, ITOM, SPM and HR

Implementation and Configuration - Lead the implementation and configuration of ServiceNow modules, workflows, and integrations, ensuring proper governance and compliance.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution - Diagnose and resolve technical issues and defects, working with the team to provide timely solutions and support.
Release Management - Oversee the release process for ServiceNow applications, conducting thorough testing and ensuring a smooth transition to production environments.

Governance and Compliance - Ensure ServiceNow solutions comply with industry regulations, security policies, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement - Proactively identify opportunities for process and system enhancements, making recommendations to improve the ServiceNow platform and related workflows.

Documentation - Maintain comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow configurations, workflows, and integrations.

Training and Knowledge Sharing - Conduct training sessions and share knowledge with team members to keep them updated on the latest ServiceNow features and best practices.

ROLE 2.

  • We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our Cyber Maturity Programme.
  • The role centres on implementing and maintaining a service-aware CMDB, integrating cloud platforms, security tools, and SIEM solutions while maturing our ServiceNow SecOps capabilities to strengthen our cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and optimise a comprehensive service-aware CMDB architecture that maps business services to technical components
  • Develop the implementation of service mapping to establish clear relationships between business services and underlying infrastructure
  • Implement integrations between ServiceNow and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) using Service Graph Connectors
  • Implement and maintain integrations with vulnerability management tools (Wiz, Tenable) to enable automated vulnerability management
  • Help mature a ServiceNow-Splunk integration for enhanced security monitoring and incident response
  • Configure and enhance ServiceNow SecOps modules to support security operations and incident response
  • Design and implement workflows, scripts, and automation to improve security processes
  • Create bespoke applications and modifications within ServiceNow to support cybersecurity initiatives
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all configurations and customisations
  • Collaborate with security teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
