Business Analyst

IT Business Analyst - £500 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid working 1 day per week from a site near Gloucester - 12 months initial contract.

My client, one of the biggest producers of ZERO CARBON energy in the UK, are looking for a proactive and delivery-focused Business Analyst to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into actionable user stories and process flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful delivery of initiatives.
• Support data migration and transformation efforts within a large-scale data transfer programme.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Use Jira and Confluence to manage documentation, requirements, and sprint progress.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early, and proactively drive resolutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Business Analyst role with a standard BA toolkit (requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process mapping, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to push forward and maintain momentum through complex challenges.
• Strong delivery focus with a track record of seeing initiatives through from inception to implementation.
• Hands-on experience working on a data transfer programme (e.g., migrations, integrations, data mapping).
• Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
• Proficient in Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow tracking.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data governance or data quality initiatives.
• Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
