Senior Technical Project Manager - Cloud Implementation & Agile Delivery - £600-£650 per day - Inside IR35 - Remote - Initial 6 month contract.

My client, a leading global nuclear engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their high-performing team. This role focuses on delivering complex cloud implementation and migration projects, leveraging both Kanban and Scrum methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background, with hands-on experience in both cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud migrations across Azure and AWS environments. You’ll be responsible for driving full project lifecycles-from planning through execution-while aligning closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud migration and implementation projects.
  • Oversee cloud-to-cloud and on-premise-to-cloud migrations.
  • Apply Kanban and Scrum methodologies to manage tasks, timelines, and team workflows.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to ensure secure, timely deployments.
  • Define and control project scope, deliverables, risks, and budgets.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support cloud automation initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage tools such as Azure DevOps Boards to track progress and manage team capacity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing complex cloud migration and cloud implementation projects.
  • Understanding of Azure and AWS ecosystems.
  • Practical experience with Kanban and Scrum in a technical project delivery environment.
  • Experience collaborating with DevOps teams and using tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations.
  • Background in software development or infrastructure engineering is a strong plus.
