Person Specification Skills

  • Senior-level SQL Server DBA experience: Proven expertise in managing large and complex SQL Server environments, including advanced knowledge of SQL internals, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Mid-level Oracle DBA experience: Competence in managing Oracle databases at an intermediate level, with a solid understanding of core Oracle concepts such as RMAN, basic performance tuning, and database monitoring.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve complex SQL Server issues, with sufficient skills to handle intermediate Oracle database challenges.
  • People and communication skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and the ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Work independently and proactively: Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, prioritise workload, and respond effectively to business-critical situations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms: Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL)
