Mechanical Fitter

We are going to be recruiting for Mechanical Fitter BAE Systems Govan!
Industry: Marine and Shipbuilding
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract with Possible Extension
Summary:
BAE Systems is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters for a 12-month contract at our Govan site. The role involves working on a variety of type 26 frigates, requiring previous experience in similar environments. Successful candidates must provide proof of apprenticeship certifications and will be required to obtain security clearance before being eligible to start on site. The pay rate ranges from £19.40 to £35.62 per hour.

Skills Needed:
Heavy industry experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Mechanical fault finding
Hydraulic and pneumatic system repair and maintenance
Basic machining and assembly activity
Use of general workshop machinery and hand tools
Installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment
Working safely with machine hand tools
Ability to work on own initiative and follow operating instructions
Problem-solving skills
