A&P Falmouth- Fitter

We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to start at A&P in Falmouth on a Permanent Basis.

Starting salary circa £33k per annum rising to £35k per annum from April 2025 + overtime and shift premiums

Job Summary

• Fit and assemble mechanical components and systems onboard ships according to engineering specifications and drawings and specifications
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on various vessels, inspecting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and structural issues
• Assist in the overhaul, repair, renew or modification of vessel’s main engines, generators, compressors and more
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards
• You’ll have experience as a Fitter or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment or will be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work
• You’ll be able to interpret and understand technical drawings
• You’ll have excellent teamwork and communication skills
• You’ll have good attention to detail and a logical, analytical and proactive approach to problem-solving
