Our client a leading Oil & Gas operator based in Aberdeen are currently looking for an Assurance & Technical Compliance Coordinator to join their team in a part-time position (3 days) on a contract basis initially. Job Profile Summary
The Assurance & Technical Compliance Coordinator manages the Integrated Annual Audit Plan (IAAP) for RRUK, encompassing
business, and external audits. The individual conducts quarterly progress analysis, incorporating unplanned audits and provides an
integrated governance of audit activities performed in RRUK. He/she also prepares the reporting materials to report IAAP progress
to the EMT. He/she fosters stakeholder relationships and ensure meticulous documentation and record-keeping. The role ensures
and independent and objective review of audit plans and planning process.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Compile all audits performed by and related to RRUK into the Integrated Annual Audit Plan (IAAP)
• Alignment of the IAAP with Regulatory Requirements around Audit Arrangements.
• Divide IAAP by Business Audits (Second line), and External Audits (Regulator, Independent competent person,
Verifications, etc.)
• Identify audit focal points for each department to ensure clear accountability.
• Conduct quarterly progress follow-up analysis to track the planned and unplanned audits
• Identify and incorporate unplanned audits into the IAAP as needed to address emerging risks or regulatory requirements
identified by the Business.
• Provide management presentations for quarterly reporting to the Executive Management Team (EMT) on the progress of
the IAAP, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Provide data cuts from the integrated audit plan to the HSE Leads to support HSE inspections and ensure alignment with
HSE objectives and requirements.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders across the organization to promote transparency, cooperation, and buy-in
for audit processes and recommendations.
• Maintain an organized and accessible repository of audit reports
• Check that a synergy case is created to address all the actions from audit Reports
• Work with all departments within RRUK to ensure Business Audit & External Audit Plans are maintained
• Build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with the coordination and planning of Integrated Annual Audit
• Assist with the development of Integrated Annual Audit Related IMS Documentation as required ensure that
documentation is up to date and within revision period
• Adhere to high ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive audit information and findings
Professional Skills and Experiences
• Proven experience in an HSE auditing role
• Knowledge on the use of PowerBI & Microsoft Office Package
• Collaborative team player
• Well-rounded work experience preferred, with significant direct experience in either oil & gas operations or onshore
support role closely linked to oil & gas operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of the UK regulatory regime.
Educational Qualification and Certifications
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
• Qualified to HND/HNC level, or having equivalent experience
