Job Purpose / Overview
As a crucial member of our Integrated Project Controls (Estimating and Change) team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our centre of excellence for project controls implementation. We are the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the HPC project.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator to join our matrix organisation and support one of the following programmes/areas within the project: Central, Site, Engineering, MEH, Nuclear Island (NI), Conventional Island and Balance of Plant, Instrumentation and Controls, and Commissioning.
In this role, you will work within the Estimating and Change team across the different parts of the HPC project, following our uniform Estimating and Change strategy. You will collaborate with other members of the team to implement specific processes and frameworks and adhere to all governance arrangements for Integrated Project Controls. Your ability to provide accurate and timely reporting of Estimating and Change information will be crucial to our success.
Principal Accountabilities
Team:
- Produce and maintain accurate Estimating and Change forecasts and data in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure or Work Breakdown Structure (CBS/WBS)
- Accurately maintain all Estimating data for your area of responsibility within the Estimating software system, such as P6, ARM, etc.
- Co-ordinate and produce Estimating reports on a defined reporting cycle, including commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues
- Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis at Project level, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
- Deliver clear and concise insights to support robust decision-making, utilising commercial and technical information to influence decisions.
- Provide analytical support to Senior Estimators and Lead Estimators through robust analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data, facilitating prioritisation and any necessary actions.
- Effectively collaborate with colleagues within and across organisational boundaries to achieve mutually successful outcomes, in keeping with our HPC project values of _Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity, and Clarity_, and our culture of _Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork_.
- Apply fundamental project and business project controls principles and interfaces with wider management processes.
- Help promote and embed a culture of good governance, risk awareness, and compliance across the organisation. Support the education of project controls reporting functionality and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering, or another related field.
- Demonstrate proven experience in Estimating and Change, including the tools and a variety of techniques used to deliver project insight and assess performance.
