Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, Federal, State, and/or Company health and safety regulations.
- Conducts compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety and health standards of the Company and all applicable codes are followed.
- Recommends facilities and technological specifications to carry out programs that fulfill the organization’s overall objectives.
- Prepares and reviews technical reports, correspondence and program compliance documents.
- Establishes and maintains permits as required.
- Meets applicable regulatory codes and standards where required.
- Develops and implements IH programs including IH processes, procedures and/or specifications.
- Develops IH training programs and conducts IH training meetings as necessary.
- Performs statistical analysis of IH data.
- Trains and assists subordinate industrial hygienists in sampling and assessment methodologies.
- Conducts and assists projects with sampling, monitoring, data interpretation and occupational health surveys to ensure compliance with established programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science or Master of Science in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering field and a minimum of 9 years related experience. In lieu of degree, 15 years experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment. Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s of Science or Master of Science in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering field and a minimum of 13 years related experience. In lieu of degree, 19 years experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment. Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment is preferred.
