Role Objective:
• The focus of this role is to support the Tactical Planning Lead and co-ordinate the movement and control of Severn Trent and contract labour resources to deliver the plan for wholesale operations by:
•
o Balance and movement of resources to meet demand based on resource plans.
o Administration support - recommendations for annual leave, training, meetings etc based on shrinkage tolerances.
o Facilitating cross boundary working and feeding the necessary information into SAP CLICK / FSM
o Working in collaboration with the Tactical Planning and Dispatch leads to prepare and handover a 21 day resource plan
Key Accountabilities:
• Overall responsibility for ensuring CLICK is up to date and operatives built to the agreed resource level for each are and allocations.
• Ensure all shrinkage is entered into the system against the appropriate codes in an accurate and timely manner.
• Investigate and challenge any requests that fall outside of agreed protocols, escalating issues where necessary.
• Work with key stakeholders to agree and sign up to delivery of the forecasted plan, attend daily loop cells.
• Proactively manage the schedule of all resources across STW
• Escalate resource issues promptly and avoid WIP increase.
• Proactively manage known shrinkage issues and reallocate resources as required
• Be accountable for identification of process improvement.
• Share best practice and experience with colleagues.
• Adopt lean methodologies to create an atmosphere of Continual Improvement
• Work with people at all levels of the organisation to deliver the outputs listed.
• Liaising with and co-ordinating the usage of contract labour to deliver against resource and work volumes
Experience:
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
Essential:
• Experience of SAP and CLICK
• Experience of process improvements
• Experienced and proficient in the use of MS Office software, specifically PowerPoint, and Excel.
Desirable:
• Experience of lean process improvement
• Previous experience of working in Resource Planning role or environment.
• An awareness of legislation pertaining to water industry activities
• Experience of Traffic Management Requirements

Qualifications:

• O-Level / GCSE or equivalent in maths and English
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise work loads.
Desirable
• Full UK driving licence.
