Section/Senior Engineer - Durham

I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Engineer to join my clients’ dynamic team based in Durham. This permanent position offers a competitive salary and package, with opportunities to work on Northumbrian Water AMP 8 projects. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in the water sector, particularly in clean or wastewater projects. They pride themselves on maintaining strong relationships with repeat clients and are eager to expand their presence within the water sector in the North East. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about working on impactful projects and contributing to the sustainable development of water infrastructure.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in the water sector, specifically clean or wastewater projects.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Ability to identify and develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support and guide junior engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Certifications & Standards:
- HNC/HND or Equivalent in Civil Engineering
- Health and Safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS)
- Familiarity with NEC/JCT forms of contract compliance
