Job Title: Functional Test Engineer
This exciting opportunity allows an invidual to get involved with cutting-edge aircraft design and development projects. Succesful candidates can expect the opportunity to work with a team of experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in advanced Air Data System and Control System design and test. The role will also provide a broader education and experience in the verification of software functions and their requirements. On-site UK working will be essential to this role at our Warton site, however flexible working arrangements will be made available.
Job Description
WORKING HOURS
- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7am – 6pm Mon – Thurs, 7am – 12.30pm Fri).
- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks).
- Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours.
- Lunch break (unpaid) is 42 minutes which will automatically be deducted each working day from 12.30pm to 13.12pm by the electronic time management system.
- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.
Additional Information
Your main responsibilities will involve:
• Evaluation of High Level Software Requirements (HLRs),
• Review of Interface Control Documents (ICDs),
• Design and documentation of Test Objectives to verify the HLRs,
• Design and documentation of test cases (inputs and outputs for a given function) to meet the designed Test Objective.
• Integrating and working with experts in control system design to report problems and document issues.
Responsibilities
Your skills and qualifications:
• A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work within a diverse team of individuals.
• Pro-active approach to problem solving and experience defining tests against
• Ability to read requirements in DOORS ®
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel ®
• Ability to use MatLab Simulink
