A client is seeking two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team in Wakefield. This role is crucial to ensuring the financial success of construction projects, working across all project stages—from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• ✔ Cost Estimation – Assess project drawings/specifications to calculate material, labour, and equipment costs.
• ✔ Budget Management – Track and manage project budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
• ✔ Procurement – Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• ✔ Contract Administration – Assist with contracts, assess variations/claims, and ensure compliance.
• ✔ Value Engineering – Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• ✔ Risk Management – Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• ✔ Cost Control – Implement measures to track and optimise spending.
• ✔ Final Account Settlement – Ensure payments and accounts are finalised upon project completion.

Essential Requirements:

• A proven track record in construction quantity surveying
• Minimum 5 years of surveying experience
• A valid CSCS Card
• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• A UK driving licence
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with site teams, suppliers, and clients

Site Visits are required in this role so you must be comfotable with driving. The client prefers if you are willing to do 5 days in office(or on site). This role is aimed at QS’s with Build experience.
