Technical Project Manager - Cloud Migration - £500 per day - Outside IR35 - Remote - 6 Months initial contract.
My client, a global nuclear engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong focus on cloud migration projects to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both cloud-to-cloud and on-premises to cloud migrations, with hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS environments. You will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end migration process, ensuring seamless delivery while adhering to security protocols and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities -
- Lead and manage cloud migration projects from initiation to completion.
- Plan and execute cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud migrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and engineering.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Utilize Kanban methodologies to track project progress and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with security principles and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support automation initiatives in cloud environments.
- Work closely with DevOps teams, leveraging tools like DevOps Boards to manage workflows.
Requirements -
- Proven experience in cloud migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with both cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud migrations.
- Expertise in Azure and AWS cloud implementations and migrations.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Kanban for project management.
- Familiarity with automation tools and practices within cloud environments.
- Experience working with DevOps methodologies and tools (DevOps Boards preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience in large-scale enterprise migrations.
- Background in software development or infrastructure engineering is a plus.
