Document Controller

Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently for Document Controllers to join the team based in either London or Glasgow.

Roles will be contract roles initially until the end of the year but likely to be extended.

Main Purpose of Job
An experienced Document Controller is required to work for a well-established Company in Offshore Wind industry.

The role of Document Controller is:
• Documents are compliant with the requirements set out in the approved Procedures.
• Assist in ensuring that all documents are filed correctly, that they are up to date and the latest version is in the approved Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Ensuring that all documents are distributed in accordance with the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM).
• Carry out QA checks on all published information/documentation in accordance with project document control procedure and perform document storage duties.
• Act as one of the points of contact for all document control issues.
• Review and control of document management protocols.
• Participate in Internal Audits relating to Document Management / Control.
• Clear communication of expectations for documents management with internal project Teams and Contractors.
• Training all internal and external users in line with the Project requirements on Document Management and the EDMS.
• Competent & proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Power BI is advantageous.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have a good understanding of document control, document control/management procedures.
Previous experience within the wind or electricity generation industry and the use of Aconex is advantageous, however this is not essential.
