Site Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager

We’re looking for a Site Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager. Based at our Capenhurst site location you’ll manage delivery by developing, and implementing the Site Service model for the Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning capability in a safe, compliant, and reliable manner across site services. This is inclusive of people/culture, processes, and systems/plants. You will be accountable for providing a range of Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning services that support the efficient and effective operation of: the Capenhurst site as a whole operational business units and other activities that are conducted on site.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure safe and compliant delivery of the Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning Services. Post will have the following nuclear baseline roles and the accountability/responsibility that comes with the roles:
- B105 - Line Manager (Control & Supervision)
- B162- Maintenance Scheduling
- B302 - Process Owner
• Develop an aligned and integrated approach, framework and operating model on how Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning Services are planned, prioritised, co-ordinated and delivered across the Capenhurst site (key activities described below).
• Develop and implement a framework along with the management systems/arrangements and systems required.
• Manage the Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning team, working in a matrix approach across the Capenhurst Site. Lead by providing clear direction and alignment to deliver against objectives to support operations and activities on site.
• Manage the team by flexing capacity to meet demand and with appropriate resourcing strategies (e.g. make versus buy approach) to ensure core capability and capacity is maintained.
• Define the requirement of the Training and Qualification Program as applicable to the Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning workforce (employees, agency workers, & contractors).

• Ensure the culture & behaviours within the team align with that of the wider Capenhurst to create an engaged workforce and an improved worker experience.
• Member of the Maintenance & Infrastructure Management Team and are expected to share ideas and improve the ways of working and the working environment.
• Collaborative working cross functionally across the wider team and various Business Centres/Group Projects will be essential to safe, compliant, and reliable delivery of the Maintenance & Infrastructure objectives.
• Ensure proactive engagement and utilise consultative decision making related to the delivery of the Site Maintenance & Infrastructure Planning services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal site performance
• Develop Maintenance Plans and manage the output of teams planning outputs.
• Process corrective work orders and delegate responsibilities to planning team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage team to Plan maintenance
- Track progress
- Daily co-ordination of work and creation of work orders
- Plan execution of tasks

• Oversee and manage the planning and execution of Site Maintenance & Infrastructure activities.
• Ensure the availability of necessary planning resources for Maintenance & Infrastructure activities.
• Facilitate the development of Maintenance & Infrastructure planning capability.
• Develop policy and define standards for Maintenance Planning Activities across the Capenhurst Site.
• Support Work Control Centres where necessary to schedule and inform prioritisation of Maintenance & Infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with planning functions across the Capenhurst site to optimise planning processes and systems.
• Screening of emerging work
• Key interfaces
- Key interfaces include working aligned and collaboratively with the wider Maintenance & Infrastructure functions, Capenhurst Work Control Centres and other UTD/Group functions as required.
- The Planners are the interface between Site and Maintenance & Infrastructure, therefore they will require good working relationships with associated stakeholders. They will need to build and maintain good working relationships with service providers in order that their work can be built into the maintenance plans.
- They will be required to work closely in conjunction with the Maintenance Technicians and Senior Technicians in order to plan and allocate the workload. They will work alongside Technicians in preparation for maintenance activities.
- The Planners will also need relationships with Engineering in order to include their requirements into the maintenance schedule and capture and lessons learned / improvement opportunities.
• Define KPIs and performance metrics both for delivery as well as system/process health across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) to inform data based decision making
• Accountable for the management and performance against the Maintenance & Infrastructure budget. Prepare, manage, and update all funding requests within the appropriate process (e.g. opex or capex).
• Ensure with the support of Procurement, HR, and other support functions a strategic resourcing strategy for the business as usual operations and investment portfolio.
• Promotes a strong behavioural safety culture

What do you need to thrive in this role?
• Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience
• Relevant Project management qualification
• Extensive experience as a technical planner (3 years)
• Experience leading a small team in a technical environment
• Experience in developing complex plans
• Strong track record of communicating, interfacing and influencing at management levels
• Background in a regulated industry.
• Demonstrable experience of industry standard software
• Well-developed leadership, planning, coordinating, organising and communications skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate requirements to all levels of the organisation and liaise with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions
• Familiarity with engineering and maintenance standards / specification and requirements in a highly regulated environment (relevant UK nuclear legislation and regulations)
• Broad understanding of all maintenance activities carried out on site
• Ability to plan technical activities, allocate resources, and allocate budget to plans.
