Salary:
£600.00 - £700.00 Per day, via an Umbrella, inside of IR35 scope.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise
- Track and report key performance indicators related to category management
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role
- Demonstrable expertise in procurement and supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of procurement best practises and market trends
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and supplier management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Strong project management skills
- Sector exeperience isn’t key, although an understanding of regulated categories would be an advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification
Working Conditions:
The role is 3 days office based (Coventry) with two days working from homr.
