Capital Finance Business Partner
3–6-month contract
£400-£425 per day – Inside IR35
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office per week
Key Accountabilities:
• Partnering Business Leads to ensure delivery of Capital Programmes through insightful analysis and challenge.
• Lead on month-end reporting for key business areas and providing regular forecasts / budgets.
• Supporting the Capital Delivery MI strategy by leading on projects to drive improvements in reporting.
• Facilitate the production of robust forecasts for CAPEX and IRE.
• Provide analysis and insight on monthly, annual and AMP performance against targets on outputs and finances and drive action within delivery areas where activity is off track.
• Identify key risks and opportunities to annual and AMP performance commitments and work with delivery teams to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
• Preparation and presentation of Capital Delivery reporting to the strategic leadership team, Portfolio Boards, and other approval bodies.
• Supporting continuous improvement of all capital performance and regulatory reporting to drive business delivery of strategic objectives.
• Robust challenge of departmental forecasts to ensure credibility and deliverability, challenge of existing practices and identification of opportunities to improve performance and drive efficiencies.
Requirements:
• Fully Qualified – (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Experience of understanding performance and driving improvements.
• Technical accounting very strong. Ability to communicate accounting standards to the business and demonstrate the application of these with external auditors.
• Ability to understand linkages between complex data sets, focusing on priorities to deliver company objectives.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to deliver a successful outcome.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to adjust the message accordingly to fit the audience.
• Strong MS Office, SAP ECC & BI capabilities.
• Leadership and ability to influence at all levels.
Desirable:
• Understanding of the capital programme governance process.
• Knowledge of the AMP7 outcomes and the link to the capital programme.
• Experience of delivering projects or programmes of work.
