Senior QS

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide expert commercial support for infrastructure projects within Taylor Woodrow Civils South. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial aspects, reporting, assisting with contract negotiations and providing contract support. This temporary role is office-based in either Watford, Chelmsford, or Southwark, with potential for extension while a permanent position is being filled. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in senior-level Quantity Surveying, specifically within infrastructure environments, and will be required to start as soon as possible.

Skills:

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, specifically Options C and E
Experience dealing with National Highways projects
Proficiency in working within a CEMAR environment
Excellent commercial management and negotiation skills
Strong reporting and analytical abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to start immediately

Software/Tools:

CEMAR (Contract Event Management and Reporting) software
Proficiency with standard Quantity Surveying and financial reporting tools

Certifications & Standards:

Relevant Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualifications
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable
