Our client Scottish Power are currently recruiting for a Senior Copywriter to join the team on a contract basis based in Glasgow City Centre.
This will be a 12 month contract role and hybrid.
Job Purpose Statement
The Senior Copywriter is responsible for writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. email/Direct Mail campaigns, web content, digital and social content etc).
The role holder will work with creative professionals, developing customer-focussed copy, which helps meets business objectives.
The communications deliverables of the Senior Copywriter are absolutely key in helping the business achieve it’s desired objectives, therefore this role plays a key part in the success of our customer communications strategy.
Speed to market is absolutely key for the Retail business, and as such the roleholder will need to be able to deliver within a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple initiatives and stakeholders at any point in time.
The role holder will work with key stakeholders across ScottishPower including Sales, Customer Services, Operations, and Digital.
Accountability Statements
•The Senior Copywriter will be charged with writing clear and concise copy for ads, campaigns, publications and websites. These words will inform and engage target audiences.
•Ability to grasp project requirements quickly and translate these into clear and compelling copy to meet business objectives
•The role holder will be a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
•Proven experience as a copywriter or related role, ideally in a Retail environment
•Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
•Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
•Experience with SEO
•Ability to research their related subject matter to deliver most pertinient, compelling content
•Creativity
•Collaborative spirit
•Excellent time-management and organizational skills
•BSc/BA in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
•Ability to deliver results whilst managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands within a rapidly changing environment
Special Requirements (not mandatory)
•Requirement to travel within Iberdrola operating areas as appropriate.
•Have an existing and expert knowledge of Marketing best-practice
