Engineering Placement Student – Process

About The Role
This role is a Process Engineering Industrial Placement with Urenco, as part of an undergraduate
degree in Chemical Engineering.
Duration: 13 months
Remuneration: £16.50 per hour
Location: The role is based at our Capenhurst site near Chester. We offer free parking and there is
a train station a few metres away from site with frequent trains to Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool.
Job Context
The job holder will support the Process Engineering Team in:
- Carrying out process engineering calculations and studies, working proficiently with process
engineering software and modelling tools.
- Providing technical troubleshooting support for plant operation.
- Designing new equipment and progressing plant improvements to equipment and software.
- Increasing productivity and efficiency of the plant whilst maintaining operational safety.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Completed 2 or 3 years of a degree in Chemical Engineering.
- No experience is required, but relevant experience will be considered beneficial.
- An interest in large scale chemical processes.

Selection Process
Successful applicants will be invited to interview. Interviews for this role are due to take place in early
December 2024. Face to face interviews are preferred and where possible these will be conducted at
the university. All interviews will be arranged to avoid clashes with university examinations and other
key coursework deadlines.
