Morson sponsored Best of British lunch raises £56,000 for ParalympicsGB
We were thrilled to support our longstanding client Sir Robert McAlpine as they hosted the ‘Best of British’ lunch, a fantastic fundraising event for ParalympicsGB.
Held at London’s Science Museum, the Best of British lunch offered 300 guests from the construction industry the chance to mingle with athletes, including seven-time Paralympic champion, Hannah Cockroft OBE, Britain’s most successful Boccia player ever, David Smith MBE, and Paralympic rowing champion, Lauren Rowles MBE.
The event was a celebration of the team’s successes during the Tokoyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games, which helped change how disability is perceived in the UK. It was fantastic to get together to celebrate the achievements of these phenomenal athletes, who have done so much to transform attitudes around disability. Morson colleagues and CEO Ged Mason heard inspirational stories and were able to try out Paralympic sports.
Sir Robert McAlpine was thrilled to announce that the event raised an incredible £56,685 for their charitable partners, the British Paralympic Association. All monies raised will go directly to the charity to support the next generation of athletes and support the ParalympicsGB team as they prepare for the next Paralympic Games.
