Following on from our triple shortlisting at the Recruitment Marketing Awards, we’re honoured to announce that we’ve also been shortlisted at the In-House Recruitment Awards for Best Outsourced Recruitment Team - RP01 at Atlas Elektronik.
The awards
As in-house recruitment functions continue to face challenges, led by demands from jobseekers and key stakeholders in an incredibly challenging market, the IHRAs believe the need to reward and recognise the achievements across the industry means more than ever.
The Best Outsourced Recruitment Team award recognises the industry’s very best onsite client teams. So we’re thrilled to be recognised for our work with naval/marine electronics experts, Atlas Elektronik through our dedicated RPO brand RP01
Our submission
Until they partnered with us, Atlas Elektronik UK (AEUK) worked with up to 40 different local recruitment agencies. The defence and maritime high-technology enterprise was in regular need of niche skillsets to add to its ever-expanding workforce. Recruitment was key to its ongoing success, but the complex system in place needed improving.
Our appointment as a single supplier has supported AEUK with recruitment cost savings and supplied candidates with the expertise and cultural compatibility to thrive. One of Atlas Elektronik UK’s (AEUK’s) main barriers to recruitment is its remote location, particularly when looking to recruit future talent who tend to be attracted to the opportunities presented by large cities. AEUK also requires niche skillsets such as sonar, transducers, software and researchers so we needed a talent partner who understood the best ways to approach these different talent pools.
RP01 provide AEUK with a complete recruitment solution including applicant tracking through Vencuro. We use our expertise to manage a preferred supplier list of recruitment agencies to target niche talent pools successfully. We further target candidates through networking events, careful selection of appropriate job boards and headhunting. By providing market intelligence and heat mapping we identify talent hotspots and have provided AEUK with guidance and support around the benefits of flexible and remote working.
RP01’s support and guidance on best practice for remote and flexible working, gives us a competitive edge in the market and also allows us to hire candidates from further afield than we had been able to previously.
RP01’s dedicated talent partner oversees the entire recruitment process down from booking meeting rooms for interviews all the way through to arrival onsite on their first day welcoming new starters and taking contractors through timesheet processes. We have recently contracted Morson Screening to perform their security clearance checks in addition to the existing RPO service. More than that, however, we support AEUK to provide the best candidate experience possible, arming them with a proposition that has seen them build up a team that’s the best in the industry.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 29th of November at a Black Tie Gala in London where we’re looking forward to celebrating with our fellow finalists.
