Project Control Manager

Job Title: Project Control Manager (12-Month Contract)

Sector: Defence, Civil Nuclear
IR35 Status: Inside
Pay Rate: £70.00ph - £80.00ph
Security Clearance: BPSS to start, SC to be obtained once onboarded

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain PMO governance, processes, and procedures.

• Define and control project baseline (scope, cost, schedule).

• Lead scheduling and project controls teams.

• Provide cost, risk, change, and document management.

• Deliver accurate project status reports.

• Manage stakeholders and governance reviews.

• Ensure financial control and contract compliance.

• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

• Deputise for the Project Manager as needed.

Key Deliverables:

• Project Execution Plans, Baseline Packs, Risk Registers.

• Progress and Financial Reports.

• Meeting Minutes and Action Logs.

• Project Closeout Reports.

Leadership & Compliance:

• Promote safety, wellbeing, respect, and inclusion.

• Maintain HSSE and quality standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Ensure projects meet financial and contractual targets.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Extensive PMO and project controls experience.

• Familiarity with NEC3, NEC4, FIDIC, and JCT contracts.

• Full project lifecycle management expertise.

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

• APM-qualified (ChPP preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Schedule, cost, risk, and change management.

• Contract and team management.

• Governance, compliance, and reporting.
