The Role:
As a Front of House Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients visitors and guests, providing a warm and professional welcome that reflects their company’s high standards. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional service from the moment guests step into the office. Your role is critical in creating a positive first impression of the company’s friendliness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Guest Services:
- Greet visitors on arrival, sign them in/out, and provide a health and safety induction.
- Manage the access control system, issue passes/keys to authorised personnel, and report any unauthorised access.
- Guide visitors to appropriate areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Review daily meeting and visitor bookings, prepare room layouts, arrange hospitality, and ensure all facilities are in place.
- Pre-register visitors into office systems and send pre-arrival information where applicable.
- Offer WiFi codes, refreshments, and cloakroom services as needed. Address questions and provide assistance with local travel, restaurants, taxis, and more.
- Notify relevant personnel promptly of visitor arrivals and ensure guests are met or escorted to the right location.
- Prepare and serve refreshments, manage lunch bookings, and oversee deliveries and storage.
- Keep guests informed of any delays and ensure they have what they need while waiting.
- Review daily meeting and visitor bookings, ensuring requested room layouts and facilities (hospitality, additional equipment) are arranged.
- Book and serve hospitality lunches and refreshments, ensuring all deliveries are received and stored appropriately.
- Prepare and serve refreshments for visitors as needed.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Ability to work independently under general supervision while exercising sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
