Morson has been shortlisted twice in the annual FIRM Awards for Best Supplier Partnership and RPO Team of the Year!

Double shortlisting for Morson in annual FIRM Awards 2022!

The FIRM Awards celebrate the best of in-house recruitment excellence, innovation, and best practice. They act as an inspiration to fellow members of the organisation, setting the standard for in-house recruiters and providing an opportunity for members to recognise the achievements of peers in a prestigious and inspiring environment.

Best Supplier Partnership

The shortlisting for Best Supplier Partnership came for our managed service provision with Sir Robert McAlpine (SRM), notably throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

As the UK’s largest engineering recruiter and the third-largest globally, Morson Talent is a pioneer of tailored outsourced recruitment solutions. We have a unique 50-year+ heritage of innovative recruitment and have built a reputation as talent experts, delivering contract, temporary, permanent, and fixed-term candidate attraction solutions to a diverse client base, be that niche skillsets or volume recruitment.

Our brief with SRM was to manage their complete white collar contingent workforce to ensure SRM benefitted from the best available talent on the market. Our own, national infrastructure made us best placed to support SRM in this way, given its need to quickly dispatch individuals to its sites up and down the country. Through our tailored services, we set out to deliver leading talent, financial control, quality and innovation, unlike anything SRM had experienced previously.

When COVID-19 hit UK shores and began to threaten the productivity of construction sites across the country, we adapted our delivery with SRM to ensure the business could remain operational against a truly unforeseen challenge. Our relationship with SRM went beyond a contractual agreement; we worked in a true partnership approach to ensure it could achieve as close to business-as-usual levels of operation as possible, and developed technology and solutions which prioritised the mental and physical health of the SRM team during the most challenging conditions many had ever encountered. As a result, in the last two years the true value of our working relationship has been thrust into the spotlight and fully proven.

RPO Team of the Year

Having been recognised as the leader in managed service provision (MSP) for decades, we were keen to push our proposition further by bringing our extensive RPO experience to the fore. During the challenges of COVID-19, clients put their trust in us to help design solutions around their suddenly changing needs and we achieved great outcomes, so 2021 quite naturally became the right time for us to launch a unique brand to the market.

During COVID-19, many businesses were left looking for an outsourced recruitment partner but found the RPO options available in the industry were no longer fit for purpose. RPOne is a transformation of the traditional RPO model, offering a more agile, custom-fit solution to organisations that wish to make their talent ambitions a reality.

With packages available for start-ups through to enterprise organisations, RPOne is designed to suit organisations of all sorts and sizes, scaling alongside businesses at their pace, ensuring they’re prepared for the next phase in their journey.

Our belief with RPOne was that we could break down the bog-standard blueprint for RPOs into individual parts, that a customer could buy as-and-when needed. They’re not just equipped with our anecdotal expertise; they have a shopping list of hundreds of ‘plug in’ extras to adapt, expand and improve their service from us, on demand.

Two-way KPIs are established at the very onset of every new contract to ensure all parties adhere to shared timelines and objectives, which are achieved by our provision of qualitative insights, data and analysis that clients link to their hiring requirements over coming months, making the HR function we offer more powerful, and more crucial to succession and workforce planning than any alternative.

Since launching in mid-summer 2021, the RPOne team is now 20 people strong, headed by Sam Price, head of client solutions for RPOne. The service is now actively being used by many clients, including several globally renowned businesses.

The shortlisting for RPO Team of the Year comes just months after Morson Group’s managed service solution took home the award for Outstanding Recruitment Organisation at the 2021 Recruiter Awards.

At the 2020 FIRM Awards, Morson’s commitment to diversity and inclusion was highly commended as we took home the award for Bests Diversity & Inclusion Strategy.

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner on June 14th at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
