Assistant Cash & Liquidity Accountant
Duration: 12-month contract
Rate: £15.30 per hour
Location: BAE Glascoed – 1 /2 days on site per week once training completed

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Cash & Liquidity Accountant to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong numeracy skills, ERP experience, and a keen eye for accuracy in financial transactions. You will play a key role in managing payment processing, cash transactions, and financial reporting while supporting process automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Payment Processing – Accurately process non-automated payments and resubmit any failed transactions in a timely manner.
• Cash Management – Post prior-day cash transactions into ERP systems before the daily deadline.
• Cash Forecasting – Prepare, present, and submit weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Process Automation Support – Assist in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives for payment processing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Serve as a key contact for external stakeholders, providing guidance on payments, resolving queries, and ensuring smooth financial operations.
• Process Improvement – Identify areas for efficiency gains and support automation projects.
• Audit & Compliance – Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Record Management – Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Reporting & Analysis – Support financial reporting by preparing key data and reports for management review.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, LN, or similar)
• Experience working to strict deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to challenge and improve financial processes

Desirable:

• Experience working in a customer service-focused finance environment
• Strong IT/systems experience with a willingness to learn new technologies
