Management Accountant

Llandudno, North Wales – Hybrid Working – 3 days in office per week

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role will support the Group Accounting Manager with financial reporting, period-end management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, streamlining processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Oversee key financial processes, including inventory, fixed assets & depreciation, receivables, provisions, and expenses.
  • Support period-end reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support business decisions.

Operational & Cost Management

  • Oversee FTE and overhead cost management, ensuring efficiency and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and financial records.
  • Manage stock and fixed asset (FA) reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Process Improvement & System Optimisation

  • Identify and implement efficiencies to improve financial processes.
  • Reduce manual work by leveraging system enhancements and automation.
  • Assist in the transition to more automated reporting solutions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Advanced Excel & financial modelling skills, including Power Queries.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of improving financial processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in period-end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with key stakeholders.
