Morson shortlisted at the APSCo Awards for Excellence 2022
Morson Group is shortlisted for APSCo UK Recruitment Company of the Year Over £250 million turnover.
The APSCo UK and OutSource Awards for Excellence are recognised across the recruitment sector as a badge of high quality and outstanding service. APSCo UK is the only UK recruitment trade body with an international footprint. They are also the only UK recruitment trade body to represent firms like Morson operating in professional sectors.
Morson’s submission in this category focused on our three-fold strategy of harnessing technology, quality services and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
Advancements in machine learning
Technology is integral to everything we do. We have focused on advancements in machine learning to develop our in-house proprietary platform, Vencuro.
Clients can use Vencuro to:
payroll contractors without error
automatically anonymise CVs to remove bias
determine whether candidates fall in or out of IR35 scope
follow GDPR and Modern Slavery Act regulations.
We’ve also adopted technology which automatically identifies and corrects gender/ethnicity bias within job adverts and litmus tests the neutrality of job posts before they are advertised. We have spent more than £3million on its development in the last two years.
Innovation in recruitment process outsourcing
Established as the leader in managed service provision for many years, we are keen to push our proposition further. In 2021, we launched RPOne, a dedicated recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) service. Designed for all, from start-ups to enterprise organisations, and available on a project basis, RPOne was developed in response to the ever-changing needs and expectations of businesses following the pandemic. The service has been trialled with several globally-renowned businesses, including Manchester United, St Modwen and Atlas Elektronik. It exemplifies the way we continually adapt and innovate our services to meet the changing demands of customers.
Setting the standard for Equality, diversity and inclusivity
ED&I conversations are ‘always on’ with our clients, from the implementation phase to every QBR. Diversity and inclusion road maps have been successfully embedded by more than 25% of managed service clients. Inclusion is an agenda item at every client review meeting and we provide ED&I advisory and consultancy to a portfolio of 20 of the Group’s biggest clients. Our reporting software ensures trans people are referred to by their social name in all communications and official documentation. We’ve launched an LGBTQ+ inclusion campaign to introduce rainbow safety boot laces across the Transport for London (TfL) network, as well as menopause and endometriosis awareness campaigns to support team members experiencing these. We use recruitment techniques specifically designed to encourage ex-offenders back into work and have invested in PPE tailored exclusively for female bodies, ensuring they feel safe and welcome in traditionally male-dominated fields of work.
